Refund and Cancellation Policy

At Journey Junkiez, we value transparency and fairness. This policy explains how cancellations and refunds are handled for trips, treks, and travel experiences booked through our platform or authorized representatives.

1. Booking Cancellations

1.1 Participant-Initiated Cancellations.

You may cancel your booking by submitting a written request to info@journeyjunkiez.in or via our official contact form.

Cancellations are valid only once confirmed in writing by Journey Junkiez.

Note:

  • Transaction and processing fees are non-refundable.
  • Refunds are calculated on the base trip cost only, excluding third-party or add-on services.

2. Organizer-Initiated Cancellations

In rare cases, Journey Junkiez may cancel or modify a trip due to low participation, operational challenges, or safety concerns.

In such cases, you will be offered one of the following options:

  • A full refund of the trip amount paid, or
  • The option to reschedule or transfer your booking to another Journey Junkiez trip of equal or similar value.

We always strive to provide prior notice and minimize inconvenience.

3. Force Majeure & Government Restrictions

In the event that a trek, trip, or activity is cancelled, postponed, or modified due to circumstances beyond our control — including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, strikes, political unrest, pandemics, or government-imposed restrictions or permit withdrawals — the following will apply:

Rescheduling Priority.

We will first attempt to reschedule the trip or offer an alternate destination/date.

Partial Refunds.

If rescheduling isn't possible, a partial refund will be issued after deducting non-recoverable expenses (e.g., transport, accommodation, permits, or local logistics).

Vendor Refunds.

Any refunds received from our partners or third-party vendors will be passed on to participants transparently.

Important: These events are treated as Force Majeure and are not eligible for 100% refund guarantees.

4. Refund Policy

4.1 Refund Processing.

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days after the cancellation request is confirmed.
  • Processing time may vary depending on the payment provider or bank.

4.2 Refund Method.

  • Refunds will be credited to the original payment method used for booking.
  • If that method is unavailable, refunds will be processed via bank transfer (account details required).

4.3 Non-Refundable Components.

Certain components are non-refundable under all circumstances:

  • Government taxes and fees
  • Third-party or platform service charges
  • Transaction / convenience fees
  • Insurance premiums (if applicable)
  • Additional services or add-ons availed during the trip

5. Special Considerations

5.1 Group Bookings.

  • In case of group bookings, partial cancellations will follow the same timeline and deduction structure.
  • Refunds will be processed proportionally based on per-person charges.

5.2 Discounts and Vouchers.

Trips booked using promotional codes, offers, or vouchers are non-refundable, but may be rescheduled or transferred (subject to availability and discretion).

If you fail to report at the departure point, miss the transport, or leave the trip midway for personal reasons, no refund shall be applicable under any circumstance.
